Transition Towns have been set up by local people around the country to address the twin issues of peak oil and climate change. Totnes in Devon was the first in England, but there are now many others.
Even Ambridge in the Archers is becoming a Transition Village! There
is growing evidence that global production of crude oil has peaked
and is now declining: in the long run, fuel prices will go up and

Transition Town Romsey has been named joint
winner of Southern Co-operative's Community Card Scheme!!
- so apply for your Co-op Community Card today and for every Pound
you spend in the shop, 3p will be donated to the fund, which we will
share with the other group (Romsey Young Carers). Look out for the
public launch/announcement 25th/31st October.

Collect your jars for a FREE jamming session!
The Local Food Group have run one successful jamming session producing
38 jars of lovely Romsey grown Gooseberry jam and chutney. We are
proposing to run another fun jam making session in the next month
or two - if you have any fruit or jars - or if you would like to come
